Blur Gallery

In my current assignment 'Darkroom vs Digital Techniques' I have learnt the use of Filters and Masks in PhotoShop, specifically the Blur Gallery. This required me to shoot a series of digital images at a levitated angle and edit them to produce Tilt & Shift, Iris Blur and Field Blur images. I shot these images in Birmingham City Centre on a snowy morning in January and I chose this location as there are many different hills and levels around the area which I thought would enable me to capture some interesting shots. I also took into consideration that I was shooting during the morning rush-hour and felt this would help to further convey the effects of the three techniques as subjects would enhance the 'miniature' effects that these techniques produce. I enjoyed experimenting with these techniques and will continue to develop my skills to use in my future projects.
