iPhoneography and Mobile Photography


For my current assignment 'Photographic Techniques and Materials', we undertook a workshop focused around mobile photography and photography apps. This required us to produce a series of 8-10 images using a variety of image editing apps via our smartphones.

iPhoneography is an art of creating photos with an Apple iPhone. An app download is initially needed which can also be done on any smartphone. As mobile phone cameras have improved in both image quality and resolution, more professional photographers have explored this art form. The photo editing apps available allow for users to adjust all types of basic settings which include cropping, image rotation and brightness/contrast alteration. It also allows for a wide variety of styles and frames to be edited into the image, these include Tilt & Shift, Vignette and Polaroid frames.
